Twisha: Welcome to Storytellers Unmasked Podcast!
Tana: Your backstage pass to the entertainment world, where we uncover the untold stories of how the industry keeps running. But first, who the hell are we?
Twisha: Well… I’m Twisha, born and raised in India. I moved to the States about three years ago with a passion for the film industry. I’ve dipped my feet in producing, film development, and, most recently, the representation side, like management and agencies.
Tana: I’m Tana, born and raised bilingual in Phnom Penh, the capital city of Cambodia. I have more experience with guerrilla-style productions. I moved to America at the start of 2021 to pursue my filmmaking dreams.
Twisha: When we started planning our life post-college, we suddenly realized that while film school helped us gain loads of skills and practice our creativity, the entry-level job market was looking for different sets of skills.
Tana: It became really difficult for us to wrap our heads around the specifics of how exactly the film industry works – how different kinds of jobs are structured, how those jobs intertwine to make that final product we see on the big screens, how the money moves – nitty-gritty details like that.
Twisha: We honestly just wanted a place where we could hear how other people worked their way up and picked up those skills. We realized that there was no one place to find those answers.
Tana: So we had the bright idea of becoming that one place for you guys! In each episode, we interview a guest into our podcast who is actively working in the entertainment industry on everything we’re curious about.
Twisha: Exactly! We’ll be chatting with professionals within this entrepreneurial landscape of content. Those who bring magic to the screen but often work behind the scenes.
Tana: Our goal is to provide a much-needed perspective on the reality of the industry, offering insights and conversations that delve deep into career trajectories, the creative process, and the inner workings of filmmaking.
Twisha: We’ll be releasing a new episode once every two weeks.
Tana: Whether you're an aspiring filmmaker seeking guidance or simply curious about how films are made, you're in the right place.
Twisha: We’ll be on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts.
Tana: So sit back, relax, and join us for candid interviews that’ll take you behind-the-scenes of the world of storytelling.
Twisha & Tana: And Welcome again to Storytellers Unmasked!
